Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new Note in China. This would be the successor of the Redmi Note 4 and will be called the Redmi Note 5. No surprises there. The webpage for the Note 5 showed that it will come with a 18:9 aspect ratio radio and nearly bezel-less design. The Snapdragon 636 is made on 14nm FinFET technology and it was announced recently, so it seems that the Note 5 could be the first phone to use it. Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 636 offers 40 per cent better performance compared to the Snapdragon 630 as it uses newly-minted Kryo 260 cores.
