Video: Bald Eagle Lands On Notre Dame Fan During National Anthem

But before the game, one Notre Dame fan got to experience something amazing (and possibly terrifying) that had nothing to do with the game.During the national anthem at AT&T Stadium, a bald eagle was released into the stadium. But the eagle had to land somewhere, and chose the shoulder of a surprised Notre Dame fan in the crowd.Video footage of the incredible moment quickly flooded the internet.You can see one of the best angles from this video, from Sports Illustrated.You can see the Notre Dame fan trying to avoid touching the eagle, either to keep from getting sliced up by its talons or to avoid injuring the bird.As for the Notre Dame football team, the Fighting Irish started well-enough against the reigning ACC champions.After Clemson scored a field goal early in the first quarter, Brian Kelly’s team answered with a field goal of their own.The teams are tied 3-3 at 4:26 in the first quarter.Stay tuned.last_img
